Let’s start with a survey! Year 9s had to do an exhibition with an interactive aspect, and one pair did slow loris compared with tarsiers, including this opportunity to vote on which should live and which should go extinct...

Image description: A poster with the heading ‘Slow Lois VS tarsier. Column one shows a slow loris with its arms up in a defensive position, looking like it's cutely shouting yaaayyy. The ‘About’ box below reads:
- cute and fluffy
- harmless
- Have never done anything
- innocent
- poisonous and venomous
- Varied diet
- known cannibal

Column two shows a tarsier clinging to a tree, squinting with one eye, looking disreputable. The ‘About’ box below reads:
- possesed by Satan
- accidentally self harms
- looks like a goblin
- arent cannibals
- has seen face of god
- only eat meat
Below the table, we have a heading of WHICH ONE DO YOU PREFER?
CAST YOUR VOTE, ONE HAS GOT TO GO )

After the very pleasant summer holidays, Term One inexorably and rudely arrived. We had every expectation that nothing exciting or new would happen Cos why would it, after all…? )

As we are wont to do in January, as the new year dawned, we burrowed into D’admiral and Chuckles’ house like ticks and dared them to remove us. Stinky went so far as to even dress like the house!

WOAH, AMAZING )

It is a truth universally acknowledged that term four is both the best of times and the worst of times in the life of a teacher, but at least this year the night sky developed a penchant for putting on a show praise be to moonah )

Omg holy shit are you ready for some shattering news? Four words: Hot. Priest. Calendar. Remodel. I can scarcely believe it!! )

2025 decided what everyone needed was an eleven-week Term Two, because why should anyone be happy? But every cloud is an opportunity for a rainbow!

Not sure there’s a pot of gold at the end, though )

Kornelius had been so efficient at showing us around Tana Toraja we now had the luxury to check out some smaller ticket items.
It doesn’t get much smaller than a bunch of five year olds )

Visiting Tana Toraja was our main goal of coming to Sulawesi, and it did not disappoint. If anything, it delivered a bit too enthusiastically )

Now it was our turn to go to Bira, only not on bikes because that sounds stupid and uncomfortable. We are perfectly capable of being stupid in our own way, thank you very much. )

Once upon a time, Stinky decided that we should totally go to Sulawesi. D’admiral and Chuckles thought that sounded like a pretty good idea, so before you could say “Remember we used to do this all the time before COVID” we were off to Indonesia in the Term One holidays.
This one’s just for us, no students allowed )

School returned as it always seems to do no matter how much we dislike the habit, but at least Term One gives us a fresh batch of Year 7 names to laugh at. if you’re not laughing at 12-year-olds, you’re not really living )

Yay for summer holidays, what should we do first? so many activities to choose from! )

Who’s ready for genuinely exciting adventures? look away now if you think you can’t handle the power )

After no trips since 2019, it was time for Stinky to get back to her school’s sister school and associated adventures therewith associated. But travelling at the same time as Pye’s school chucked up some huge questions Like - who gets custody of Moose? )

In 2014, after years of not being allowed to take students to Indonesia, Pye made a triumphant return with a pan-Java adventure. Flash forward to 2024, after years of not being able to go anywhere, she did the same again – with exactly the same staff no less! gather up those kids and get going! )

One day Pye was heading down to her Year 8 class when a chicken walked past going in the opposite direction. This isn't too far from usual in Drysdale, but this one gave her an unusually smug look. Thinking no more of it, Pye got to the classroom to find that the Year 8s were losing their tiny minds because when they'd walked in, there had been two chooks in their classroom, calmly checking the place out (while shitting all over the place). There's not even an external door, these bitches made a special effort to come in and raise the general standard of behaviour for the class! This set the tone for the rest of the term.

Might as well start the way we plan to continue... )

Because it’s full of blades.

It’s been about 10 weeks, is our favourite hobby still watching grass grow? OF COURSE IT IS, HAVE YOU MET US? )

It rained for years (or at least half of January)!

But we still managed to mostly have fun. We got back from Adelaide and celebrated New Year’s, what should we all do next? Get COVID? OKAY )
